"Working with SeaWorld, Busch Gardens
and Discovery Cove brings value to all sides
of the partnership." |
|

Partnership Activities:
Serving as a long-time judging partner for the SeaWorld &
Busch Gardens Environmental Excellence Awards, National
Geographic knows what the Anheuser-Busch Adventure Parks are
all about. That strong partnership helped secure Busch Gardens
Tampa Bay as the recent host park for the sixth National Geographic
World Championship. From July 11-16, the top geography students
from 18 countries competed at Busch Gardens for the coveted
World Championship title. The event, moderated by JEOPARDY!
host Alex Trebek, captured international attention for the young
competitors, the park and the importance of geographic and global
awareness.
In addition, Busch Entertainment and the National Geographic Society recently announced a new conservation partnership. The organizations will jointly support and promote two conservation projects each year - one marine-based, the other terrestrial, or land-based. This year, the partnership will benefit the Florida manatee and wild lions in Kenya.
Partner Perspective:
"Conservation is at the heart of the mission of National Geographic," said National Geographic President and CEO John Fahey. "We are delighted to partner with SeaWorld and Busch Gardens to identify and solve pressing conservation problems around the world. We also plan to encourage additional funding and rally public interest in the conservation cause." |
